The Ammochostos region offers itself as a great cycling location, ideally situated by the sea with both road and mountain cycling routes. The road bike routes which are relatively flat with slightly highly areas allow cyclists to visit the scenic villages of the Ammochostos region such as Paralimni, Ayia Napa, Protaras, Dherynia, Frenaros, Sotira, Liopetri and Avgorou. The panoramic breathtaking routes include extensive rides along the coastline from Liopetri Potamos along Sotira up to Ayia Napa, Cape Greko and round to Protaras. The region is also ideal for mountain biking with routes in the picturesque area of Cape Greko, Konnos, Mazzeri and Kambos. These routes are hilly with excellent descends. The Konnos route is right next to the water offering a beautiful trek within pine trees and beautiful scenery.
