Fig Tree Bay
Fig Tree Bay is undoubtedly the most popular beach in Protaras. Its name comes from fig trees that stand near the beach for decades. With its golden sands, vibrant daytime atmosphere, and natural beauty this beach is the place to be. Thanks to the pedestrian beach promenade and the many Instagram spots the place attracts a lot of tourists of all ages. There are also many restaurants, cafes and beach bars around for you to enjoy each time of the day.
Fig Tree Bay Nausicaa Beach
Located along the stunning southern coastline of Protaras, next to Fig Tree Bay, this beach features three piers equipped with ladders for direct access to the sparkling blue sea. It’s an ideal place for swimmers and sunbathers alike.
Vrisi Beach
Vrisi Beach is a 1km long sandy beach, separated in three different parts. It is located in the heart of Protaras and is lined with hotels, restaurants, and bars, making it perfect for a full day of fun and relaxation. All of this is set against the backdrop of a breathtakingly scenic coastline, which enhances the experience even more.
The Vrisi I beach starts right next to Fig Tree Bay, the Vrissi II is located in the center of the beachfront and Vrisi III is right before the Nisiotis promenade!
It is one of the most visited beaches of the area because of its long stretch golden sand and tranquil crystal clear water
Konnos Bay
Konnos Beach is one of the most picturesque beaches in the area, linking Ayia Napa and Paralimni, as it lies on the road between Cape Greco and Protaras.
It is a small and idyllic bay covered with fine golden sand, surrounded by tree-covered landscapes.
The beach facilities include restrooms, changing rooms, sunbeds, umbrellas, and a café offering food and drinks. There is also a passage point for small boats, as the nearby beaches offer coves suitable for anchoring and diving. Around the area, you’ll find luxury hotels overlooking the beach, restaurants, and small supermarkets.
The descent to the beach is surrounded by pine trees and greenery, and the view from the top is truly breathtaking.
The beach provides access to everything the Cape Greco National Forest Park — part of the NATURA 2000 network of European protected areas — has to offer, including hiking and diving.
From April to October, lifeguards are on duty with rescue equipment and first aid services available.
Access is easy on foot, by bicycle, or by car, and there is a parking area.
Xistaria Beach
Xistaria Bay is a small, picturesque cove, like a hidden gem. It is only a few hundred meters from Fig Tree Bay and you can access the beach through the beach promenade on foot. Surrounded by trees, including eucalyptus, and filled with crystal-clear waters, it offers a uniquely scenic and serene setting.
Pernera Beach
The small bay of Pernera is located in the northern part of Protaras, in the area of Pernera which shares its name. It is only about a kilometer away from Protaras if you use the beachfront promenade.
Pernera beach is a golden sand shallow beach, suitable for visitors of all ages and has many choices for dining and enjoying a drink at the beach. It is a good choice for those who want to avoid the summer crowds.
The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag and offers lifeguard services. Visitors can enjoy a variety of water sports, and umbrellas and sunbeds are available for rent.
Agia Triada Beach

Agia Triada Beach has received the “Plastic-Free Beach” certification, is a Blue Flag beach, and is located between the areas of Kapparis and Pernera. The beach facilities include restrooms, changing rooms, and sunbeds, while there is also a beach bar/café offering food and drinks.
In addition to the beautiful shoreline, there is a quaint fishing harbor and a charming little chapel dedicated to the Holy Trinity, from which the beach gets its name. Nearby, there is also a beachfront area designated for holding weddings right on the beach. Behind the chapel, there’s another beach bar/café with music, food, and drinks.

Louma Beach
Protaras beaches provide the best way to unwind and relax all day long. Located near Protaras and Pernera resort, Louma Beach offers a delightful escape. The soft, fine sand and the surrounding bay make it a pleasure to visit. In addition, its accessibility and relaxed ambiance appeal to all kinds of beachgoers. You can walk at the pedestrian promenade and enjoy your lunch, dinner, coffee, or cocktail at any of the various restaurants, cafes and bars near the beach. Next to the beach you can find the small blue and white chapel of St. Nicholas.
Kapparis Beach
Kapparis Beach is located in the area of the same name, about 6-7 minutes by car, from the center of the famous tourist resort of Protaras.
Kapparis Beach is relatively small, with golden sand and crystal-clear waters. It is especially popular with both locals and tourists.
A hiking trail passes through Kapparis Beach, connecting it to Skoutarospilioi Beach and to other rocky paths that run high above the sea, reaching as far as the buffer zone of Famagusta.
Beach facilities include restrooms, changing rooms, sunbeds, umbrellas, and water sports. The surrounding area offers a variety of restaurants and kiosks.
Skoutarospilioi Beach
Nestled close to the Kapparis resort and a short distance from Protaras’s main strip, Skoutarospilioi Beach is ideal for those seeking a quiet retreat. The calm atmosphere makes it perfect for relaxation and peaceful moments by the sea. A beach bar-restaurant open from 08:00 a.m offers drinks and food at all times for your convinience.
Nisia/Green Bay
Nisia Beach or Green Bay is an exotic beach, awarded the Blue Flag, and holds significant historical importance.
For archaeology enthusiasts and fans of shipwreck stories, in addition to the Neolithic settlement that has been excavated in the nearby area, a cannon from an ancient shipwreck was recently recovered at Nisia Beach. The shipwreck lies about three miles from the shore and dates back to the Ottoman period.
At this beach, you can enjoy the crystal-clear shallow waters, or go just a few meters further out for diving and explore the seabed of one of the most fascinating areas in Protaras.
Vyzakia Beach
Tucked away just beyond the bustling heart of Protaras, next to Nisia and Lombardi Beach, lays Vyzakia Beach. A small, peaceful cove perfect for those seeking calm and crystal-clear waters. Surrounded by rocky formations and golden sand, this hidden gem offers excellent snorkeling opportunities and a more relaxed atmosphere compared to Protaras main beaches, especially on weekdays.
Lombardi Beach
A beautiful Blue Flag beach in a popular area just outside of Protaras, located just below and slightly to the right of Cavo Maris Hotel. The beach features fine golden sand and crystal-clear waters.
Facilities at the beach include toilets, changing rooms, sunbeds, umbrellas, and water sports. The beach is also accessible for people with disabilities and mobility challenges.

Minas/Sirena Beach

Armyropigado Beach
Armyropigado Beach is a small, blue flag, secluded cove beach next to a summer scouts club. Glyky Nero Beach
Glyky Nero Beach is a small beach with sunbeds and umbrellas located next to Armyropigado and Potamia (Dog Friendly) Beach in Kapparis area. It offers relaxing moments away from the crowds.
